The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), Agartala, has released the official notification Advt. No. 25/2025 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Personal Assistant, Grade-II (PA-II) under the Tripura Govt. Stenographers' Service (Group-C, Non-Gazetted) in the GA (P&T) Department.

This is a permanent government job opportunity in Tripura with attractive pay and allowances. Interested candidates must apply online through the TPSC portal within the given dates.

Vacancy Details

A total of 100 permanent posts are available, with category-wise distribution as follows:

  • UR – 42 posts (including 14 for women & 1 for Ex-SM)

  • SC – 12 posts (including 4 for women)

  • ST – 46 posts (including 16 for women & 1 for Ex-SM)

  • Total – 100 posts (including 4 posts reserved for Persons with Disabilities – Low Vision: 2, Hard of Hearing: 1, Locomotor Disability: 1)

Note: Vacancies may increase or decrease as per departmental requirements.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Level-9 of the Tripura State Pay Matrix:
₹ 5700 – 24,000 + Grade Pay ₹ 2800 (PB-2, Pre-revised)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed Higher Secondary (HS+2) or equivalent with at least 35% marks,
    OR

  • Passed Madhyamik with Stenography Course from ITI with 35% marks.

  • Must possess a Computer Operating Certificate (minimum 3 months) from Govt./recognized institution.

  • Must have proficiency in:

    • English Typing speed: 40 wpm

    • Shorthand speed: 100 wpm

  • Must be of sound physical & mental health.

  • Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM candidates.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years

  • Maximum: 40 years (as on 23.09.2025)

  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PH & Govt. Servants.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Test) – 100 Marks

  • Objective Type OMR-based Test

  • Duration: 1½ hours

  • Note: Marks will not be counted for final merit list; only qualifying in nature.

2. Type Writing & Shorthand Writing/Transcription Test – 300 Marks

  • Type Writing (Computer) – 100 marks

  • Shorthand Writing & Transcription (Computer) – 200 marks

  • Qualifying Marks:

    • General: 50%

    • SC/ST: 40%

3. Main Examination – 250 Marks

  • Final merit list will be prepared based on Main Examination + Type & Shorthand Test marks.
